|Tuning this without an MFJ antenna analyzer initially could be a painstaking process. Once you get it marked you're good to go.|
This little antenna performs pretty well as is, but I modified mine.
Instead of the collapsible whip I added a Hustler MO4 mast, a home made capacitance hat, and another stinger on top of that.
It's now resonant down to 60 meters, and really works well on 20 meters.
I just worked Belgium while driving down the interstate. HF mobiling is fun, and this little antenna will make it possible for you too.

|Great antenna! As long as you can find a good solid ground you will have no problem tuning this antenna. The only frustration I have with this antenna is the whip design. It is a standard retractable antenna and does not hold up well to highway speeds. I've had two break after extended highway trips. MFJ is great about replacing the whip with no hassle. I got tired of getting replacement whips so I replaced it with a solid whip from RS that I cut to the correct length. Maybe MFJ should look at doing the same and save on replacements for broken whips. |MFJ-939IPLUG,PLAY,200W AUTOTUNER, HF,W/CABLE,ICOM$159.95
