|Got 3 of these slim little 2m antennas just for APRS vehicle tracking. Good performance for the size. Magnet holds well. The slim whip can be curved for compact transporting.|
Had one cable work loose from the magnet mount. Took it apart and epoxied it back together like new.
Make sure to tighten the set screw that holds the whip initially. One time I pulled the antenna down into the car to go through car wash but the little whip detached and got sucked up during interior vacuuming.

|For the money, you can't beat this antenna for versatility and performance. |
I am currently using one for my base station. It is mounted on the gutter using a small pole clamp on one of the gutter supports for the mag base. So far, it has been through an ice storm and Oklahoma high winds with no problems. I can hit all the area repeaters with 10 watts or less.
This antenna has been used mobile at highway speeds with no problems. I have used it indoors on the ceiling return air vents. If I had to choose 1 vhf/uhf antenna, this would be it.
