| From: David KJ4YQK | I installed the Ultra-lite OCFD Wire Antenna yesterday on the 24th of Oct 2010. I am using the antenna for QRP mode. I worked Texas within 5 minutes of having it up. I have successfully tuned up 40, 20 and 10. I have not used it on 6 Meters yet.
I like the end insulators. The end Insulator allows you to droop the ends of the antenna if you run out of yard space. I have my antenna up about 32 feet.
Problem/solution: There is not really that much room inside the box for mounting your RG58. I try placing everything at first and ended up shorting my coaxial feed. My solution was to mount the coaxial cable on the outside of the box.
Recommendations For MFJ:
Ship soldering lugs for the coaxial cable with the product
Increase the box size 10 percent.
