|This mounting bracket will need a MFJ-7710 for most antennas you can find. Unfortunately I did not catch this when I first ordered the antenna. Most antennas have an 3/8-24 threaded connector for the whip or fiberglass rod. This connector has an SO-239, which you must mount an adapter to the connector. The beauty of this connector is the cable comes with the mounting bracket, and it is designed such that you don't have to worry about it coming loose or getting rusty on the feed line end. Put a good PL-259 -> 3/8-24 connector on top of it, keep it the connector and antenna from rusting and you should be good to go. The Ham Stick's appear to be a very nice choice for this bracket with a MFJ-7710. Even if I had the adapter, I'm not about to try to tune an antenna in this lightning storm, so will write a review on the antenna's when the adapter comes in and the lightning stops. ;-)|MFJ-1899TFT-817 MULTI-BAND TEL.
