|It works well !!! The only drawback is the little board-speaker which delivers an unpleasant sidetone, otherwise when the necessary alignment with your 94XX transceiver has been properly done you can enjoy CW !!! Plenty of contacts with 599 reports !!! Please keep in mind that 94XX transceivers are mainly meant for SSB operation. |

|I had the MFJ-415B installed in an MFJ-9440 transceiver. Worked very well. I changed the Piezo Sounder for one more pleasing to the ears although taping a cotton ball over the sounder's output hole helped. Tried taping a dime-sized piece of cardboard over it and it also helped. Gave me some nice experimental moments.|
I also ran a 1200 Ohm resistor from the switch position on the board that powers the 415 to an LED mounted on the front panel. This served as a warning that I was in the CW mode and not to use the microphone although it may be possible for the top end of the CW spread on the 415 for an extra. The version of 9440 I had worked this way, at least. However, the LED was to make sure I did not try to use the mike in the CW area and also to make sure that I knew that if the LED was on and I wanted to use the mike, I needed to turn the 415 off.
