|I ordered the MFJ-434B Voice Keyer via their website on 3/11/10, and it arrived today, 3/17/10 (MS to CT). From opening up the box to "on the air" was about 1 hour of time. Everything worked flawlessly. I had a small problem of interpretation of the instructions (my fault), but re-reading the Initial Setup instructions a third time, everything worked FB. I'm using it with a Kenwood TS-2000 and a PR10 Heil boom mounted mike.|
This is my fifth piece of MFJ equipment; MFJ-834 RF Ammeter,Ameritron RCS-4 antenna switch, Ameritron ARB-704 amplifier interface, Ameritron AL-811 amplifier.
Being mostly a CW op, I decided that this year I would work more SSB contests (Yankee Clipper Contest Club member) and felt a Voice Keyer was needed.
Nice job, Martin! Thanks... K1SEZ, Paul Ciezniak

|I must say, I am very impressed with this Keyer. The quality of construction is very good. There were several things that struck me about this unit. First, the manual is written very well. It is easy to read and follow. Second, the jumper configuration is very easy to follow and change. The jumper table for my Icom had a great photo to follow. Third, the item was shipped with many extras; a modular-to-8 pin connector, a Cat cable, a bag with extra jumpers and a power supply connector!|
I use an ICOM IC-7200, so I had to change the jumper configuration before I powered the unit. After removing 4 screws I think it took me all of 2 or 3 minutes to make the changes and double check my work.
The unit worked great the first time and ever since. If you need a Voice Keyer, or DVR, this is the unit for you!
