I would recommend putting a small fuse in the line going to the antenna switch control box (MFJ-4712RC).

| From: Marty W6NEV | | I am using the MFJ-4712 in my mobile installation to switch between two hamstick antenns. What a great little device this is! I have made a change by adding a non-shorting 1/8" jack across the switch so I can mount the remote control near the XCVR. This keeps all the RF cabling away from my driving position and makes a neater installation. Just leave the remote control switch in the #1 position, plug in an extension control switch and walla, a remote remote control. Thanks. |
