| From: Dick Newsome W0HXL | I purchased the MFJ-976 Transmatch in February of 2009. The 976 is dedicated to my 502 foot Horizontal Loop Antenna, fed with 450 ohm ladder line. This tuner is a battle ship and handles the Capacitive and Inductive Reactance that many others cannot on 160 through 10 Meters.
The 31 uH roller inductor and four 500 pF air varibles handle any impedance match connected to this excellently designed transmatch. On a scale of 0 to 10, the MFJ-976 is a solid 10 performer.
It matches my loop on 6 Meters as well. I would recommend this transmatch to anyone searching for a quality unit capable of handling impedance matches, where others fail. My AL-811AH Amplifier with 572B finals has 800 watts output and the MFJ-976 runs cool. 73, Dick W0HXL
