RAS-1 (AlfaSpid RAS) Azimuth/Elevation Rotator
The RAS-1 is an extra heavy-duty azimuth-and-elevation rotator designed for large satellite antennas, long-boom beams, and other high-wind-load arrays. It comes complete with digital controller.
It uses a double-worm-gear drive system for high torque, quiet operation, and strong self-braking (no separate brake solenoid). Construction is steel rather than pot metal. Position sensing is done with a sealed reed switch for reliable 1° accuracy in all weather.
